Garment Justice Youth Program

OUR VISION

Our vision is for students, especially those with family sewing for major exploitative garment brands, work to eliminate sweatshop labor since they are most closely impacted by the fashion industry. Students, alongside garment workers, lead the fight for safe and dignified workplaces with fair wages. We build power from the bottom up for social and economic justice!

YOUTH TESTIMONIES

“Your voice has power, power to tell your story, power to tell your family’s story. So its important to represent and take action to better your community, its taking control of your life by helping yourself and helping others, its empowerment from existing and surviving to living and fighting.”      – Youth Leader Jessica Chavez

“The Garment Worker Youth Program is essential because it empowers young people to advocate for worker rights and just labor practices. It builds leadership skills, spreads awareness, and helps us make a change in our community.” – Youth Leader Vilma De La Cruz
