Ross, End Wage Theft Practices in LA Garment Shops!!

On May 2, 2016 the Garment Worker Center launched a campaign against Ross Stores, Inc. with a worker-led delegation to a prominent Ross store, in Downtown LA demanding an end to sweatshop practices in the factories they use. Ross is responsible for sweatshop conditions because it pays a contract price for its garment orders that is half of what is necessary to for producers to comply with local wage and hours laws. Garment workers producing for Ross in LA are making as low as $5 per hour with no guaranteed overtime or rest breaks.
