Zacil Pech
Health and Safety Organizer

Zacil Pech was born in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, and migrated to the U.S. at the age of four. Her experiences and hardships led her to begin organizing with undocumented immigrant youth in Los Angeles. While organizing with immigrant youth, she was introduced to the labor movement by interning with the Los Angeles Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO. During her time interning and working with different labor rights organizations, such as A Better Carwash and Warehouse Workers United, Zacil learned about wage theft, unfair working conditions, and health and safety violations. Organizing alongside low-wage workers led her to become aware of the inhumane treatment faced by workers on the job and added to her love for social and economic justice. Currently, as an active immigrant and labor rights advocate, she continues to highlight the intersection of immigrant and worker rights in all of her organizing spaces.
